Our review
Teacher’s Cottage is a traditional villa, ideally situated as it is 3,5 kilometres from a sandy beach of Platanes.
The villa is in the middle of the island of Crete which will enable the guest to visit famous sites such as the Palace of Knossos, The Monastery of Arkadi, The Preveli Palm Beach and the old historical town of Rethymno. In the old historical town the visitor will be able to enjoy a stroll in the various alleys of the Venetian Harbour called the Fortezza --which is the fortress build by the Venetians-- where he will be able to find boutiques, coffee shops, bakery, night life, bars, restaurants and taverns with Cretan Traditional Cuisine which is worldwide known as a healthy diet!
Teacher's house is a two-levelled cottage with a cobblestone veranda and a stone-brick wall. The house is elegantly decorated with wooden and iron antique furniture, and it is painted in white and warm shades that give it a cosy feeling.
The outdoor area has a delightful garden, barbeque facilities and a pool, while the villa has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with a fireplace. From the veranda and the balconies, visitors can admire a panoramic view of the Rethymno Gulf and the mountain terrain.
A car is essential as the first available superb market is at a distance of 3 kilometers from this private and exclusive property.
Entering the property you will see the swimming pool with barbecue facilities and a surrounding garden.
