The name Aressana is derived from the script found at the Acrotiri excavations dating back to l500 BC.Archaeologists believe this to be the name a young maiden that offered gifts to the gods. Housed in a design by celebrated Greek architects, Thomas Gavalas and Dora Monioudi, Aressana has become to epitomize the gracious hospitality that the Santorinian people are renown for.
A strong emphasis on tradition in both design and decor are complemented by attentive service and a passionate attention to detail. Hand made furniture, ceramics, rugs and artworks adorn the hotel.
