13 km southeast of St. Nicholas on the way to Ierapetra, is found the beautiful beach of Istron or Pilos.
The Beach Istron is about 600 meters long with sand and pebbles.Clear waters and green hills are the features of this coast. On the beach there are sunbeds and umbrellas. Beach Istron is quiet and relaxing. The access to the beach is through the hotel Istron Bay. Please note that the access is controled by the reception for a price. At the beach there is a small jetty for boats. The beach Istron (or Pilos) is awarded with blue flag.
