Makrigialos is located 25 km east of the town of Ierapetra and 59 km south of Saint Nicholaos town.
Makrigialos is a beautiful resort area with many rooms for retn, restaurants, cafes, bars, pharmacy, and all kinds of tourist shops. Makrigialos has two beaches east of port, the first with fine sand, chairs, umbrellas fully organized with shallow waters, and the second easternmost with fine sand and pebbles also organized with umbrellas, water sports shower but less crowded.
