Municipal Garden of Chania is a wonderful place for a walk with your kids in the center of Chania between the streets Andrea. Papandreou and Tzanakaki.
The garden is a work of Reouf Pasha, was designed in 1870 to European standards. In 1918 was renovated by the arborist Konstandino Spai. In 1905 worked here the first movie of Chania, while still functions Municipal Cinema with selected movies during the summer. In the northeastern corner of the garden is the town clock. The garden hosts some Kri-Kri (Cretan goat) and peacocks and there is a small pond with ducks and a bridge. Beside the cafe there is a playground with swings and slides to entertain small children. The Public Garden is open around the clock.
